This wine is obtained by blending two grape varieties sourced from the “Finca 1988” vineyard,located in Tupungato at 3,627 feet elevation. Our testing in Finca 1988 indicates that by combining two different varieties, we obtain a richer, fuller wine that is more complex and interesting than the individual varietal wines evaluated separately. Each component contributes to obtain distinguished by its intense concentration and complexity. In this case, Malbec confers freshness, sweetness and red fruit flavors, while the Cabernet provides elegance and eucalyptus scents to the blend. Aged for 12 months in new and second use French and American oak barrels, Finca 1988 is ideal with lean meat and pasta dishes.
